At the medical check-up, there are laboratory tests carried out by taking blood and urine specimens. In preparation before blood and urine specimens are performed, there are several preparations that must be prepared including, patients are advised not to consume food, drinks (containing sugar), and drugs within 8 to 12 hours. If in the medical check-up there is an abdominal ultrasound examination, the patient is advised to drink enough water and not to urinate before the abdominal ultrasound examination is performed. So that the imaging results can be clear about the bladder and surrounding organs.

GTT ( Glucose Tolerance Test ) is a series of laboratory tests as a support in the diagnosis of diabetes, this examination is to evaluate the body’s ability to absorb glucose. The preparations made before this examination were that the patient was previously advised not to consume food and drinks (coffee, syrup, and tea) for 6-12 hours. After that, the patient will be taken fasting glucose blood and then consume 75 grams of glucose liquid for 5 minutes and in the first 2 hours (fasting condition) the blood glucose level will be checked again for blood glucose levels 1 hour later.
