Understand & Prepare Your Procedure

Medical ancillary examinations are examinations that are used to help establish a medical diagnosis or medical services that function so that the treatment and care provided are maximized.

  • To add supporting data besides physical examination data
  • To provide clarity and certainty about the seriousness of the patient’s illness
  • To make it easier for doctors to make a diagnosis

Follow-up examinations are carried out when medical data that supports the physical examination is lacking.

  • X-Ray / X-ray: A type of medical ancillary examination that uses X-ray radiation or X-rays to describe the condition of various organs and tissues of the body.
  • Ultrasonography (USG): A medical ancillary examination that uses sound waves to produce images of organs and tissues inside the body.
  • CT: Abbreviation of “Computed Tomography”, a medical ancillary examination that uses X-rays with a special machine to create images of tissues and organs in the body.
  • MRI: Abbreviation of “magnetic resonance imaging”, at first glance similar to a CT scan, but this investigation does not use X-rays or radiation, but high-strength magnetic waves and radio waves to describe the condition of organs and tissues in the body. The MRI procedure usually takes 15–90 minutes.
  • EKG: This examination is often used to monitor the work of the heart, especially the rhythm of the heartbeat and the electrical flow of the heart. An EKG can also be done to detect heart abnormalities, such as arrhythmias, heart attacks, swelling of the heart, abnormalities in the heart valves, and coronary heart disease.
  • Fluoroscopy: A radiological examination method that uses X-rays to produce a series of video-like images. This investigation is generally combined with a contrast agent so that the resulting image is clearer.
  • Endoscope: Aims to examine the internal organs of the body with an endoscope, which is a small elastic tube-shaped instrument equipped with a camera at the end. This tool is connected to a monitor or TV screen, so the doctor can see the condition of the organs in the body.
